We’re weeks away from one of the biggest film releases of 2019, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, and it is set to become one of the top Pokémon movies ever released. Starring in the film is Rita Ora, so it’s no surprise she has released the official song to the movie. This time, she’s teamed up with Kygo, for this awesome track, “Carry On”, which also has an epic accompanying music video with some exclusive clips of Detective Pikachu.

Rita Ora has been a staple in our lives for many years, hitting the British music industry hard but also making it big across the pond in America too, as well as the world over. Her sophomore album was released just last year, after a six year wait, and it sure was worth it considering Phoenix is a masterpiece of an album. The last hit she had with a DJ was “Lonely Together” by Avicii and we so believe this song is going to be her next big hit.

Kygo, real name Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, has been making hits for a number of years and recently collaborated with Sandro Cavazza on the song “Happy Now” which suggests that he’s been following in Avicii’s footsteps since both Rita Ora and Sandro Cavazza were Avicii’s recent releases before he left this world. His first massive hit was “Firestone” featuring Conrad Sewell (who Avicii later collaborated with), and has gained many more hits including “It Ain’t Me” with Selena Gomez. This recent release has got us all playing on repeat, with many suggesting similarities to Avicii.

“Carry On” was written by Afshin Salmani, Ilan Kidron, Josh Cumbee, Kyrra Gørvell-Dahll, Natalie Dunn, and Rita Ora. According to the YouTube description of the music video, the director of the music video was Jonathan Singer-Vine. It is unknown whether the film will have a full soundtrack released, however Henry Jackman has been revealed as the composer who has created the score for the film – he also did the film scores for Monsters Vs. Aliens, Kick-Ass, Wreck-It Ralph, and Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle. Also, in addition to Kygo & Rita Ora’s “Carry On”, Lil Uzi Vert & Pharrell Williams are set to release a track titled “Electricity” from the film.

She’s embodying Pikachu too by wearing a bright yellow PVC mac over the top of a black ensemble which consists of a crew neck jumper, a pair of leather trousers, and some boots. Most of her scenes are inside the office of a city detective, which is where Detective Pikachu and Tim Goodman first meet.
